Senior engineersonly. Always.

We don't hire to scale headcount — we hire to keep the bar. Remote-first, AI-augmented, founder-direct. If shipping production software is the part of your day you like best, this is the team.

Why this team

Four things that
actually make the difference

Skipping the “ping-pong table and free snacks” bit. Here's what engineers tell us in exit interviews from other shops — and what we've built around.

Senior bench01

No junior pyramid. No squad churn.

Every engineer is hired against the same bar. You ship next to peers who think faster than you do — not next to juniors you have to mentor on the clock.

Remote-first02

Built remote since 2014. Not retrofitted.

Async-by-default. Live overlap windows you can actually plan around. Nobody schedules a 7am call because the EU lead forgot the time zone.

AI-augmented03

Engineers who use AI shamelessly.

Cursor, Codex, internal tooling — the boilerplate is automated. You spend your day on the hard parts: architecture, judgement, edge cases.

Founder-direct04

No anonymous management layer.

Umar reviews scope on every project. There's no faceless “account manager” deciding your sprint. The shortest path is to the person who can decide.

The hiring bar

Six rounds. 7%
get an offer

We turn down faster than we hire — because the bar is the product. The whole process runs in 3–4 weeks; we pay for the take-home; you keep the work if it's a no.

01100%

Application

Resume + two work samples + a writing sample.

No keyword filters. We read everything.

0238%

Technical screen

90-min paired session with a Lead, on a real archive problem.

No leetcode. We watch how you reason out loud.

0321%

Take-home

Three-day async build, scoped. Paid.

Reviewed by 2 senior engineers, blind.

0412%

Architecture round

Two hours with the founder, designing from a one-line brief.

We're looking for judgement.

059%

Bar-raiser

A senior outside the team has veto power.

No clear yes = no.

067%

Offer

Out of 100 applicants, 7 join the bench.

Senior roles only. Never juniors.

Open positions

8 open roles.
All senior.

Filter by department. Closed roles are kept on the page on purpose — if the work resonates and you're extraordinary, send a brief anyway.

What the offer
actually includes.

No ping-pong tables. The boring stuff most teams treat as "perks" — we treat as table stakes.

Top-of-band salary in your market, paid in your currency, on time. Equity for senior-lead roles.

B02

Time

25 days PTO + national holidays. Three-day work-anniversary weekend every year. Friday afternoons are protected.

B03

Remote setup

Annual stipend for workspace, monitors, chair. Co-working membership covered if you want one.

B04

Tools

Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, internal AI tooling — all paid. New M-series Mac on day one.

B05

Growth

Conference budget. Senior-engineer mentorship, not Udemy links. Internal review process every 6 months.

B06

Health & family

Full medical for you and dependents. Parental leave: 16 weeks primary, 8 weeks secondary, regardless of gender.

Honest fit

Before you
apply.

A two-minute reality check. The engineers who thrive here look like the left column. The ones who leave in three months looked like the right.

✓ YOU'LL THRIVE IF

  • You've shipped real production software for 5+ years
  • You like written communication more than meetings
  • You use AI tools daily and have strong opinions about them
  • You can disagree clearly and change your mind faster
  • You want autonomy and accept the responsibility that comes with it

✗ THIS WON'T BE FOR YOU IF

  • You want a junior role and on-the-job training — we don't hire juniors
  • You need 5 meetings a day to feel productive
  • “AI tools are a fad” is a hill you want to die on
  • You're looking for nine-to-five with no async writing
  • You'd rather optimise resume keywords than ship
FAQ

Sharp questions,
straight answers.

Six questions we get on every first application. If yours isn't here, it'll be the first thing we cover on the screen.

No. We don't bill clients for the time it takes to train juniors, so we don't hire them. Earliest career stage on the bench is ~5 years of shipping production software.
Yes. Built remote since 2014. We engineer timezone overlap (PKT working hours overlap EU mornings and US East-Coast afternoons), but no one's required to be in a specific city.
A focused, three-day async build — usually a small CRUD feature with an architectural twist. Paid. Reviewed blind by two senior engineers. You keep the code if it's a no.
No specific stack required. We hire engineers who pick tools by problem, not by resume. You'll need to use modern AI coding tools well — we'll teach you our internal tooling if you're not there yet.
Three to four weeks total, end-to-end. We move fast and respect your time. If we go silent for more than 5 business days, ping us — that's us screwing up.
If your timezone overlaps cleanly with EU or US East-Coast working hours, you're a candidate. We've hired across Europe, MENA, South Asia, and the Americas.

We take general applications year-round. If the work you do is genuinely senior and the writing in your cover letter sounds like a human, you'll get a reply.
